Busy Summer
So what is happening? Clearly a new bed for me at Grammies. I imagine she made this Scottie Quilt for me as well.
But who the heck is this next to me. Geeze, it's scary!
Why these torts are interesting to my mom and grammie - I have no idea.
They are one year old now. They do nothing.
As I understand it they are soon going to school, like to be permanent residents.
The school has named them Lance and Lucy.
(But who cares!)

Visiting Relatives
Here I am at my bonus family's yard. Auntie & Uncle live over in Glendale.
I love the yard, this is my flower-girl look.
See my big smile? I can do no wrong!

Jumping for Joy!
Oh hey...it's me again.
Springer is my middle name
Jumping is still my game!
Mom has been practicing the Springer jump, I help her all I can.
Very nice views and always ready to roll this way.
And I have a pretty regular date on Friday nights.
| Eddie can't take his arm off me! |
| Another boyfriend, Art. He talks so sweet to me. |
Get this.....I have discovered I have more relatives! Yes and aunt and Uncle who don't live very far away. I have not only visited but I have slept over. Oh....wow! Swell people! My Aunt Lynn and Uncle Ed love me and do every thing I want.
They have a swell yard too!
(Aunt Lynn please send more pictures of me when I was visiting.
Grammie can't find them!)

A Shout Out
Did you ever have a friend, a kindred soul, that you actually never met? I have several. You see - they are all from my nation - not the human nation.
The fact is we have short lives compared to the humans.
But much richer lives!
We love our masters. We never complain because we strive to please.
It's a sad day to lose Addie - whom I never met. She was happy and loved - especially because she was rescued. That was a love at first sight story.
Good girl.
Respectfully, Ella

Flippin' Out
More summer fun for me!

I don't need much to have a good time!

A plain ole tennis ball and a master with a good arm!

Play Date
I have a lot of pals from my nation. I am very social, ya know. I like swim dates, ball toss dates and chase dates. For some reason we don't do lunch or dinner dates like the humans.

Color Choices
I've been busy at Grammies. She got this idea to make her wall a "feature." Fine, but we sure had to interview a lot of colors. Basically, they all look the same to me. However, I tried to seem interested in each new splash of color. I patiently accompanied her to check each one (over and over.) She eventually tossed the ball anyhow.

I Am Loved
Eddie has known me for all my years! He is my neighbor friend and he has a swell pool! Eddie favors felines -- still he adores me, I know it! Most Friday nights I am his back-seat date on the trip to Caramba's.
I sit real close to him.

After a while - I change to my master's SUV and travel home with them. I feel sorry for the Grams and Eddie they probably miss me so much. I always go back there when ever I want.

DÃa de los Muertos - Hanakkah- Christmas- New Year
You have to notice lots of strange things happening this time of year.
| Bones? Not really, but Grammie likes these things! Hangs them up on a sort of green plastic thingy. |
![]() |
| Sure, I can pose by the red flower. Whatever makes you happy! |
| A blanket for a puppy I never met, Henry? Strange! I have questions - mailed to Seattle? Ummmm |
![]() |
| A sharped-shinned hawk shows up this time of year. He's no dummy - we serve lunch! |
![]() |
| My best present, from my friend Lynn. Although little micro-bones they are delish! |
| YES, MINE.....all MINE! One thing we do every year is donate lots of nice blankets to doggies (or kitties!) who have no family. My Grammie took warm blankets out to Sun Valley Animal Rescue this year. She says it is a very nice shelter. I wonder why she was so sad when she came home? If you can help out please click on the link and read more. They really do good work and we can help in many ways. |

Sad News
Today we lost a friend from my nation of English Springer Spaniels.
Jazmine was a really good looking ESS! She had a wonderful human family. They gave her a fantastic doggie life. She loved camping and her toys.
She really loved snack time!

Of course Jaz was English but she was fluent in Spanish.
You'll be remembered girl friend.

Recovery is a Bummer
I'm trying to rest up since my injury.
I'm not allowed to be rowdy but my toys stay close.
And the vet told me to keep my foot elevated.

Many Wags for your Sympathy
Thank you humans and canines...your kind messages are helping me. I am doing OK but way slowed down.
(Slow is not my style at all.) More pictures will be posted soon.
Meantime Baxter, who has recently had some problems of his own, sent me regards. His dislocated hip is now all better. He is out of his sling. He has some vision challenges and I think he needs his all-fours.
I don't think a thing is wrong with his sister Zoe. I suppose she's taken to bed in sympathy for us.
(Typical Princess behavior!)
Kind regards, Ella Mae

Oops!
A long story.....but here I am at the doctor's office, on a perfectly nice Saturday. In fact I had to go to ER because my regular doc is not on duty today. And they are too booked up for me? Huh?
Here's what happened: Thursday night I did some fancy running and skidding to welcome Jaz's mother to Grammie's house. Somehow in my exuberance I slipped and tore a nail off. Just raw stuff showing.Ouch!
OMG - Grammie and Lynn took such good care of me! I lounged on a blanket for about 2-hours. Ate my dinner right there! No kidding. (They never offered me a cocktail...duh! I actually could have used a GT)
Admittedly, I was in pain, big time. But I got home last night by way of the Board Meeting at Carumbas. Uncle Eddie held me the whole way over. I felt better real quick. Grampa came out to the car to tend to me two or three times. I did not get to run around the parking lot and chase those wild cats like I normally do
- oh well.
BTW Doc says my nail will grow back. And I have some fairly nice drugs if needed. There is some talk of dental cleaning and lump removal this week. What the heck? Ella

Friends of all Types
So some of these friends you've never heard of....well heck, some of them I never met.
However my grammie says they are sort of my friends
That's because she knows them and I bet she pets them.
They probably got a whiff of me! (Ya think?)

| Daisy is one of those posing dogs! She's a book club member. |
| Zoe who is "adorable", so grammie says. Another literary canine. |

| Martini got into grammie's yoga bag! Good grief! |
Stoney Laroux lives in Texas. Yahoo!
GiGi lives in Texas too. A diva!
